03 / 06 / 08 - First appearance
Fabien Pedemanaud at the first Cataluña Cup event
Many top teams will race this week-end in Cataluña for the first event of the local race series. Among them, Fabien Pedemanaud will make his first official appearance with his new Morewwod factory bike, equipped with Iduylle Pro and Stoy.
06 / 03 / 08 - FirstIdylle Pro testing session
Good news from Idylle, bad news from Nico
Nicolas Vouilloz rode Idylle, on his Lapierre, for the first time in the beginning of the week, in south of France and Italy. The first testings on the dyno had already been promissing, and Nico confirmed it. He feels the fork as efficient as his former factory Bos fork from 2002. The best he rode untill now. We just have to fix some little details and save weight before the first production. Unfortunatelly, Nico crashed and suffers from his knee. He will not be available for the next two weeks. But Fabien Pedemanaud is ready to continue the job, as soon as this week-end.
NICO'S BACK !
Their association is still in our memory and the quality of their work together helped define downhill racing, not to mention their five World Championship and three World Cup titles. Today, Nicolas Vouilloz and Olivier Bossard face a new challenge together: to develop the new range of BOS forks and rear shocks.

Best season ever for BOS Rider Fabien Pedemanaud

2nd in the french championship (1rst is Fabien Barel)
2nd New Zealand Championship
Winner of one national cup event, both in France and NZ
11th World Cup Mont St Anne
15th World Championship Elite Fort Williams
4th World Cup Maribor
Ranked 15th overall World Cup 2007

Despite a few desappointements (rain in Champery after an amazing seeding run, crash in Schladminng while he was on his way for a top ten finish), Fabien Pedmanaud made a brillant 2007 season, which began very earl, as he raced the NZ national series last winter.
Fabien has been selected as the new official BOS Rider just before the beginning of his european season, riding a Marzocchi 888 with BOS cartridges, and the brand new BOS rear shock prototype on his Commençal Supreme.
Fabien is quite an atypical rider, at this level of racing : he 's driving by his own the the races, with no mechanic, and does everything by himself. His results sound even more brillant when you happen to know his way of living.
Fabien's aim for this season was to clinch a few top ten finishes in the world cups, and to be selected in the french national team for the worlds. He first showed his skills in San Remolo where he finished 3rd, then had some bad luck wit the weather conditions in Vigo and Champery, but showed his talent in Mont St Anne, with a strong 11th place.
He's been then the second faster french rider in the national championship, close to former twice world Champion Fabien Barel, and earned his national team jersey for Fort Williams when he won the national cup event in Oz en Oizans.
Fort Williams, his first world championships ever, had been a strange race for him. Never really confident, he rode consistently during the whole week-end, but never hundred per cent. He finished at a noticeable 15th place which did not reflect his real level. Nevertheless, his goal was a top 15 finish... so he was quite satisfied. But he knew that he could ride way faster, and was really motivated to clinch a good result, one week after, in Maribor for the world cup final. And finally, he could climb for the firtst time on a WC podium with a stunning 4th place !
Fabien is now looking forward to setting up his new team for next season, with th help of his friend / manager, Benoît Bex. He'll still be our official rider, but we don't know yet which frame he will use. However, we'll continue to make the best suspensions for him, in order to hlep him to reach his new goals : a consistent top ten finish in the world cup, as well as in the world championship, with some top 5 finishes.
Oscar Saiz rides BOS suspensions aboard his Giant Glory
Spanish rider Oscar Saiz joined our troops in the beginning of the season, by buying to our local distributor (Nani Roma racing) a set of shocks and dampers for his RS Boxxer.
French national Cup DH - Montriond : Mick Pascal wins
Maxxis Cup Inter - Vallnord : Fabien Pedemanaud finishes second

French National Cup in Montriond :
The bad weather is always disturbing the DH races since the beginning of the season. And it almost caused the cancellation of Montriond's event ! On friday it has been impossible to ride, and the riders could only practice on saturday after the track had been widely modified. But despite the organizer's efforts the riders still had to extract their bikes froma sticking mudd. Finaly, the race could take place on sunday. And Mick Pascal won with a huge gap. Pick was the favorite of the race, and he has always been fast on slippery conditions. The top five features two other BOS riders : team mates Aurélien Giordanengo(4th) and Karim Amour (5th).

Maxxis Cup in Vallnord :
Fabien Pedemanaud really motivated before Vallnord, where he foresaw to fight against superstar and local hero Cedric Gracia. Unfortunately, Cedric didn't race, and Fabien had to stisfy with the best spanish DHers and Philip Polc. Which is fast enough ! But Fabien was mostly desapointed by the track itself, which had changed since least yeart, becoming less technical. Nevertheless, Fabien won the first heat, ahead of Vasquez, in the mudd. But on a dry course, he made a little mistake just after the start on the second heat, which costs him the victory. Fabien comes back from Andorra a little bit siuapointed, but a podium is still a good result, before flying to Canada for the 3rd WC event.

04 / 18 / 2007 - MTB : New BOS DH rear shock !
The new Bos DH rear shock is born on Qbikes DH Team request. Cyril Lagneau (team manager) and Jack Roure (mechanic), asked us if we would be able to design a specific damper for their new DH frame meant for Mickaël Pascal. The instructions where clear : make a performing shock, specificly setted for the bike's rear suspension geometry, reliable and without any gadget. So, we made it !
This shock is very simple, but trully efficient. We used all hour knowledge to design it. It is adjustable in low and high speed compression plus rebound. It's PURE EFFICIENCY. !

Besides Q Bikes DH Team, Fabien Pedemanaud will get one for his 2007 season (read previous news), and we decided to built a very small quantity of shocks, that will so be available as a very limited edition for pro and/or amateur, but always demanding racers.
04 / 16 / 2007 - VTT : Fabien Pedemanaud, new official BOS rider
Fabien Pedemanaud rode with some BOS tuned manitou suspensions two years ago. He starts 2007 with a great motivation and new ambitions, in a serious privateer structure, which will give him the oportunity to race the entire world cup serie. This atypical rider is better known for his life style than his results, but he is really talented and has a strong physicall background. We decided to help im for 2007 because we really believe in his ability to make a great season. And we hope that his BOS suspensions will play their role ! Fabien will race on Commençal Supreme bikes fully BOS equiped with a combo 888 kit + BOS rear shock. He waits impatiently for his shock, but already got his forks, which he really enjoyed. He even won his first race with the BOS tuned 888 !
04 / 16 / 2007 - MTB : So long Karim
After two years of fruitfully collaboration, our partnership with Karim Amour ends as season 2007 is about to start. Our official test rider heard some siren song coming from the USA (in fact the siren looks like a Yeti, which is actually less sexy...), but has now to ride with stock suspensions -or prepared by his supplier. Therefor, we have to quit ourselves with regrets, but it's finally the second time, since Karim rode twice for BOS : in Nico's V Process team, then as test rider for our improvement kits (DHX, 888, Boxxer) that he fully helped us to set up. You'll easily understand that we keep excellent relation ship with him, and that he will be welcome whenever he wants to come back !
28 / 02 / 06 – Mountain Bike – New fork kit for the Marzocchi 66
Following the kit made for the Marzocchi888, which experienced a real success in 2005, Bos is launching a new version made for the 66, the free ride fork of the brand. Based on cartridge similar to the 888 ones, the 66 kit has the same characteristics, and most importantly an irreproachable behaviour.
28 / 02 / 06 - Mountain Bike - Kit 888 2006
The famous fork kit made for the Marzocchi 888 is evolving in 2006, with a main modification of the compression adjusting screw, which really simplifies the assembly. The 06 version is becoming a standard, as its assembling itself without any problem on previous versions.
